This is from a couple of years ago

Ayaan has a bike. It was a tad bit small on him.

He also has a hand-me-down bike, that is a tad big on him.

So I bought him a bike that was just the right size. Came back home. Sent him inside. Put the bike in the garage.

30 minutes later Safya called me complaining that Ayaan slashed his bike’s tires.

HE DID WHAT NOW?

The little devil literally took scissors and poked holes in the tire :(.  But what would compel a 5 year old to do that, you wonder? I wondered too, so I asked.

Zeeshan: “Why the … what the … why … why did you do that?”
Ayaan: “I asked for the blue bike and this one isn’t blue”

Never mind that the blue bike was almost full-size. Seriously, this boy will be the end of me!

(Update: from 2 years into the future - It’s amazing how much this kid has calmed down ever since he started school. Thank you, school!)

Want.

Want.

Oh I am supposed to give monkeys to food?  And here I’ve been giving food to monkeys.

Classic!

Classic!

Uh, so that’s how long it takes?

Uh, so that’s how long it takes?

Separation of church and state is much less of a problem now than separation of large corporations and state.  When do I get a separation of large corporations and the State?

There is less genetic variation in the entire human population than there is in just one troop of Chimpanzees in West Africa.  When it comes to people, our physical differences between “races” are truly just skin deep.  Take any two people from anywhere in the world and they will share over 99% of their DNA.
